While still in high school, Shawn managed to sneak into local bars to trade licks with some of the older musicians around town. Soon he was being booked as the entertainment in these same bars. He joined a country rock band called Timberline as their pedal steel & acoustic guitar player. He quickly became a sought after player both on stage and in the studio. He began writing songs and soon he was forging a solo career of his own.

        Shawn released his first recording entitled The Wooden Hill in 1993 and has kept busy putting out a new recording every year and a bit or so. Other Shawn Brush titles include 1999 Plus Shipping And Handling, Kutz, MIA (miscellanous in action) and, most recently, the release of his greatests hits You Asked For It.
